Mumbai - 'UNTITLED'Play on woman power to be staged in city

Mumbai: Mumbaikars will have something to look forward to this week besides cricket. A highly acclaimed play `Untitled' will be staged at the Sophia auditorium , on March 21-22 by the Women's Movement for Peace and Prosperity and the American Alumni Association under the aegis of Times Foundation. The Hinglish play, directed by theatre personality Arvind Gaur and performed by Lushin Dubey is all about woman power. `Untitled', which has won rave reviews on the Delhi theatre circuit, will later be performed at the Edinburgh Festival and in the US. Dubey's high-voltage performance has also been critically acclaimed as "brilliant and path-breaking

Tickets for the play are available at Rhythm House, Planet M, CST, and at the venue, on the day of the show. The proceeds from the tickets will go towards the education of the girl child. Times Foundation has been acting as a point of convergence for NGOs, the government and ordinary citizens to raise issues and bring about policy level changes through advocacy. Women's Movement for Peace and Prosperity has been involved in the empowerment of women so that they can make a difference in the arenas of education, spirituality, entrepreneurship and health. The 35-year-old American Alumni Association facilitates global education for needy students and networking among US college alumni in India.
